There’s a Sufi folk character named Nasruddin. Here’s one of his stories.
Nasruddin was standing near a river. A man on the other side shouted to him, “Hey! How can I get across the river?”
“You are across!” Nasruddin shouted back.
I LOVE that one!
It’s all a matter of perspective, right? Is where you are where you see yourself or where others see you?
Are you feeling unsuccessful, unlucky or hopeless?
Because from where I’m standing, you look pretty good.
You have everything you need to enjoy your here and now, unless you’re letting your mind dwell on what could be…. what’s on the other side of the river.
I promise you that no matter the challenges or pain that surround you right now, there’s someone on the other side of the river who sees how good you have it.
So, you might try doing the same!
With all the potential for disease, financial ruin or even death, with all you wish would go away so you could go back to normal, one thing is certain.
You ARE on the other side of the river.
Now, what do you do with that information? Hopefully, you stop wishing it could be other than it is, you strengthen your capacity to accept reality, and you surround yourself with positive influences that support you in being a master of change. As my friend Bryan Vogt says, start where you are!
Sure, it’s a new reality. But it can be a great one. You can adapt. You can succeed. You can thrive.
I’ve got a ton of resources for you; books, audios, virtual seminars, the inside track on world class mentors… But none of them will help you if you don’t make change a priority.
Don’t cling to the past. There’s plenty we can do by starting with the present and planning for the future. Set up an appointment to let me help you figure out your next move.
I can assure you… it’s awesome here on this side of the river!
